The only African large python .
Appearance :
A muscular python with a wide head covered in numerous small scales . Brown or greenish brown with an irregular
row of dark brown markings and blotches along the back and smaller blotches on the flanks . It has heatpits .
Sizes :
Max 23 feet (7M) , Avarage 5M
Range & Habitat :
Africa , South of the Sahara . Grasslands , especially in rock outcrops and around villages and farms . Often near water
Food :
Mammals also birds and crocodilles .
Breeding :
Egg-laying up to about 50 eggs .
My Notes :
Less bred in captivity than Python Molorus . A very large serpent . They need large cages and at least a bath-tub-sized water pool .
Most of them friendly .
